Radaractive on Hiatus? Not exactly.

The Brits (with no dog in the fight) say there may have been a million people in this crowd. There were Tea Party rallies all over the country on 9/12, some attracting many thousands but the biggest was in Washington, DC. The crowd filled the parks and the streets around the Capitol area. Maybe the low end of a real estimate would be 300,000 in DC and who knows how many thousands at many other locations around the country, including two within about a half-hour of our home. Check out pictures of the DC event.

Nope, I am very busy writing for the Fanatasy Lounge. Between finishing up the NFL draft kit and working on the NBA draft kit I am going to be very busy for at least another week. I will give you a few links to chew on as I finish up my other work.

ACORN is revealed to be what we knew them to be...evil crooks. What is more scary is that the major networks would not report on this. Charles Gibson, ABC News star claimed on a Chicago talk show that he had not heard of the ACORN videos. I suppose he had not heard of the many pending charges of voter fraud being pressed against ACORN either? Remember the Obama speech where he promised ACORN that they would be a big part of molding the course and policies of his administration? Does that mean the government is getting into the adolescent child prostitution business?

The Tea Party movement is being underreported
. I will have a post about this coming soon. Eyewitness accounts showing the news media deliberately giving false information about the size of a Tea Party rally.

Barack Obama is trying to set up a personality cult like Kim Jyung Il of North Korea. We have already seen our school children taught to sing Obama songs and write essays about how they can "Help Obama." Wasn't it John F. Kennedy who said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Now we are being asked to do things for a person?

One Czar (a position utilized by Obama to keep Congress out of the loop) has been discredited but Cass Sunstein is a fruit loop. Van Jones is not going to be the last to fall if anyone has any sense. I mean, Sunstein thinks animals should be able to sue people!!! He also wants to regulate the internet and prosecute bloggers who cannot prove every aspect of everything they say! He believes that government should have a "Paternal" aspect. Can anyone say Big Brother?

The Russian people of the early 20th century hoped to have some control over their lives and have a chance to reap the rewards of their labors. They eventually put their support behind the Communists, who replaced the Czarist government with a totalitarian government of another ilk. Joe Stalin slaughtered more innocents than Hitler. Peasants under the Czars became peasants under the Lenins and Kruschevs.

The German people of the 1930's kept thinking that their leader, being legally elected, needed to be followed and respected. They kept thinking it until their entire country was at war with the world, their population decimated, their infrastructure destroyed, their neighbors (or they themselves) hauled off to camps to be enslaved and /or butchered and/or tortured. It was too late for them by then, of course. The lies of their leader and the wild claims thereof masked an entirely different agenda. Our current President is not big on being truthful, either. Joe Wilson may have been unmannered, but he was right and his actions caused changes to be made to the hopefully soon-to-die bills coming down the line. Behind the scenes, the politicians made the required changes to the bills but in public they began playing the race card.

Guess what? The race card is played by Democrats to try to keep power. They want a racial and economic divide in this country. It is like those stupid beer commercials where the guy steals beer from a high-end restaurant or a luxury box or the owners boxes at a race track and gives it to the "common people." In real life this guy would be booked for larceny and go down to a police station in cuffs. In real life his company WANTS to sell beer to anyone, rich or poor or in-between.

The Obama administration wants to tell poor people that there actually is a free lunch and will bankrupt the country to do it. His party pushed crazy mortgage loan laws that collapsed the economy and then used the collapse to help put themselves in office, whereupon the economy really took a nosedive.

People need jobs and training, not handouts. They need to be motivated, not satiated. Capitalism works, communism always fails. But liberal elites have one desire that goes beyond the desire to lie about the environment or the economy or establish a socialist society; they want to be the rulers of that society. Make no mistake, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden believe they are better than you and I and, well, some animals are more equal than others. Barack Obama may be more a figurehead than a leader but he is in charge and his cohorts and mentors are some of the most radical of Americans.

As I mentioned before, my biggest business deal of 2008 was pulled off the table when the Japan-based client began to believe Obama could win the election. Then, when he won they cancelled the project until future notice, expecting the US and World economy to go into the crapper. Maybe if a Republican is elected or about to be elected in 2012 I can make the sale? Perhaps even if major Republican gains are made in the 2010 election? But then we need conservative Republicans. Rinos like, sadly, John McCain often do more harm than good.

Our way of life, our Constitution, it is under attack. Some of it is direct, some secret and some subliminal. For instance the Public Television outlet, Channel 56 in Gary, Indiana, has a logo that is always displayed at the bottom right of the screen during their shows. Compare their logo to the Obama logo:

The logo is displayed without text during television shows, so that it appears as if a form of the Obama logo is constantly being displayed on government-funded television. PBS has long been a liberal farce, but this is getting ridiculous. Whatever happened to the PBS face logo?

Is this the Death Star? God help us!!!

For someone bragging about being the smartest guy in South Bend, you sure show how dumb you can get.
1. The Park Service said there were 75,000 at that tea bag event of racists paraded white face pictures of Obama. IT's also event orgainized by the health insurance industry, laughable you're used like tools.
2. Joe Wilson is the liar, not Obama. Wilson had a difference with a bill, doesn't like a black guy.
3. If ACORN is evil, what does that make Blackwater?
4. "Czars" is a media term, you do know that, don't you?
5. Comparision of Obama to Hitler? Seems like the smartest guy in South Bend wouldn't make that comparision. You haven't got a closed head injury since your H.S. SAT's?
6. Japanese client dropped your business deal because Bush was putting the economy in the crapper .
7. I suppose it's your imagination lacking a link where Obama is telling anyone there is a free lunch. Not exactly a high SAT score making that claim there.
8. Gary, IN PBS logo looks vaguely like Obama logo means PBS is bad? Wow.
8. That Elkhart RV industry needs those communist roads. Looks like a case where communism worked.

"1. The Park Service said there were 75,000 at that tea bag event of racists paraded white face pictures of Obama. IT's also event orgainized by the health insurance industry, laughable you're used like tools."

Source? Proof? Some pictures of 75,000 people all parading white faces of Obama?

"2. Joe Wilson is the liar, not Obama. Wilson had a difference with a bill, doesn't like a black guy."

Source? Proof? Because Obama established himself as a verifiable liar even before his election.

"3. If ACORN is evil, what does that make Blackwater?"

That good old game of "yeah our boys are crooks but yours were first".

"5. Comparision of Obama to Hitler? Seems like the smartest guy in South Bend wouldn't make that comparision. You haven't got a closed head injury since your H.S. SAT's?"

Let's see: Obama writes checks he can't cash, plans on trashing the entire healthcare system into a program where the most deserved seek care, proposes government enforced youth community service, and thinks stabbing a baby in the head with forceps on the way out of the womb should be perfectly legal. You're right. They're nothing alike at all.

"6. Japanese client dropped your business deal because Bush was putting the economy in the crapper ."

LOL. Right, because those Japanese clients who get ridiculously rich off of our free market policies would love to work with a guy like Obama. Honestly dude, maybe one too many frat parties?

"7. I suppose it's your imagination lacking a link where Obama is telling anyone there is a free lunch. Not exactly a high SAT score making that claim there."

I guess you missed his proposal to give a tax break to any making less than 250k per year? That means those who work under the poverty line and are already tax exempt will get free money slick.

I'll comment on the Cass Sunstein article. Sunstein is actually a pretty controversial figure within the conservative movement.

You've shown us one conservative perspective. The other perspective is spelled out pretty well in Lying about Cass Sunstein, by Julian Sanchez (of the Cato Institute). Also check out the link to the Glenn Reynolds article at the bottom of the page.

They're both very happy with the choice of Sunstein...obviously they'd prefer someone who was picked by a conservative president, but they note that he's a pragmatist rather than an ideolog and he's said a lot of things they agree with. They go on to say that most of the criticism is based on deliberate misquotes of Sunstein's writings.

What's going on is that there are two factions in the modern conservative movement. There's the faction that follows the tradition of Goldwater and Reagan and makes arguments based on facts and observed reality.

Then there's the faction that follows the newer tradition of Limbaugh and Palin, which believes that arguing about "facts" is inherently elitist. If you're concerned with "facts", you're basically saying that people who do research are somehow "better" than people who don't. For this faction, arguments are won by the side which can make up lies the fastest and screech them the loudest.

The last election was really a war between these two groups for the control of the Republican Party. The Limbaugh/Palin axis won a decisive victory over the McCain axis, and they've pretty much completely driven their opponents out of the party with screeches of "RINO!"

So, here's a topic for discussion: What's going to happen to the "elitist" wing of the conservative movement? Will they align with the Democrats, or will they form a third party?

My prediction: They're going to align with the Democrats, in the belief that they can use reason to persuade Democrats to support some of their policies. (The way that they persuaded Democrats to support tax cuts and welfare reform and NAFTA in the 90's.)
Meanwhile, the Republican Party is going to find itself unable to expand past 20% of the population. It will follow the path of the Whigs and vanish completely.

We'll have a couple more cycles of one-party rule, and then some of the tensions within the Democratic Party will come to a head, and a lot of people will split off and form a second party. We'll wind up with a Democratic Party that's slightly to the right of where it is today, and a new Progressive Party that's somewhat to the left of that.

Whoever Hey, is? That comment was one of the most ill-informed and fact-free comments ever posted here. I do not know whether to be in awe of your lack of understanding or congratulate you?
