Veterans,,,Thank you for your service!

To all my fellow military veterans around the world.   Thanks for your service.   To all you Blue Star families?   Nothing can be said that can make up for your loss and the sacrifice made by you and yours.   Sergeant Malcolm B. fought and successfully took and defended a hill and later a small fortification in Korea.   Sergeant Robert S. was shot down, saved a companion by helping him from a falling plane, was wounded and then bayoneted by German troops before becoming a POW.   Sergeant Robert B. saw action in Afghanistan and also trained the Afghani forces to be a proper militia.   Me?  I was a geek riding a desk with a top secret clearance and nobody shot at me.   So here's to you who went across the wire to save our necks!

Thank you!

Courage...

Thank you. On my mother's side I am descended from General "Lighthorse" Lee of Revolutionary War fame and thus a very distant relative of Robert E. Lee. I think just about every ancestor I know of who was in service actually fought in a combat situation except for me and my Grandpa on my Dad's side who was too young for WWI so joined the homeland civil defense instead. So I never fought in Vietnam at all, just served during the war from stateside. "They also serve who stand and wait", but I had it easy compared to most.
