Why socialism/communism is a Dystopian rather than a Uptopian plan

I will admit that I get a bit weary of deliberately deceptive people sometimes. It is an aspect of blogging that is unavoidable when you make anonymous commenters available so that people can hide behind the mask and make outrageous claims and etc. It appears that I have an average of around 90 visitors per day and few of them ever comment but they do read the posts and most often read the post and not the comments, so I know the effort to make a difference is worth it anyway.

A non-explosive non-controversial post is hard to come up with in these times. Sure, I have random thoughts that are not serious in nature.

You ever notice how hotel showers never have strong enough spray power, so that you feel like you are taking just a fast drip instead of a shower?

Why is it that Cialis commercials wind up with people in bathtubs?

Why does the best team usually LOSE the Super Bowl?

If you have ever had multiple college student kids who need to apply for FAFSA online or has a special health need you understand why the government needs to stay out of healthcare. Government adds layers of bureaucrats and tons of forms. We know a completely crippled woman who is barely hanging on to life who has been trying to get help from the government for literally years with no help given yet.

People are unhappy with me for exposing and fighting against socialism and communism. But you guys miss the point. Most of all, I am against statism/federalism rather than all else. We need to let individual states take care of more of the legislation and reduce the size of the federal government.

The liberal news media is remarkably slanted against conservatives and for progressives and yet the Obama administration is blaming them for making his administration look bad! That is pretty funny. This President cannot get speeches right with two teleprompters at once and the press secretary makes fun of Sarah Palin for writing something on her hand? I have one thing to say - "Corpseman."

I have a son who is quite proficient at knives and swords as a collector, maintenance and also fundamental usages, but I have a handgun anyway. It is still America, thankfully. Ordinary people can own weapons and many times lives are saved. If guns are illegal the criminals would not care anyway, they are CRIMINALS for crying out loud! Most thugs get their weapons through the underground cash-only economy anyway.

It cracks me up when some commenters say I could not possibly have been an atheist (whereas I was probably an agnostic which is a lazy atheist). My former bandmates would laugh. Atheisim is just one worldview I tried on for awhile. Maybe I was just a try everything guy, including witchcraft and meditative chants and LSD/Boo Hoo Bible sessions and checking out Eastern mystery religious ideas. I campaigned for Bobby Kennedy and then went into a time where I mainly focused on getting high and chasing girls/women. I made a lot of money pushing speed but when I started using the needle I sent myself spiraling into the gutter.

After I became a Christian I was surprised to score 99th percentile on my entrance exam so all that dope and booze and LSD did not destroy my brain. Every one of my children has made the honor roll a few times and some of them were star students. One daughter is a law clerk and has given me two grandsons (with her husband's help, natch), one is a full-time mom and one is on scholarship for Art and in her last semester. She will be married at the end of May, hurrah! Three girls, two grandsons and one granddaughter so far.

None of the boys are married yet. One son was a sergeant MP for five years including Afghanistan and has come back to go to school and become a high school history teacher. Another son has his English degree but needs another semester of student teaching to qualify as a high school English teacher. The youngest is a senior in high school and already determined to become an ASE certified auto mechanic through Lincoln College.

My wife had a wild past, too. But as adults we found God and became Christians and we are very happy. People can change, yes, and hopefully for the better. Socialism sounds good and seems to be logical on paper but it cannot work when people are added to the equation.

As I have said before, one of the main reasons I became a Christian was the assignment to write a term paper that describes a Utopia. We were to use the works of BF Skinner and other sources to devise our own Utopian world. I could have just taken stuff from a few sources and spat out a nice paper and obtained my shiny A and moved along. However, I tried to seriously approach the task and came to the end of myself. Man is incapable of devising a Utopia.

Socialism is an attempt to have a Utopian society. But socialism always has Dystopian results. The reason this happens is because socialism draws a society into communism and then into disaster. So when I say socialism I also mean communism because one wants to become the other.

1) People want to succeed and socialism tends to take away the impetus to be productive. Why work your butt off when you are getting basically the same thing as the next guy anyway? Under socialism the wealthy get taxed like crazy and their money given to the poor after the government takes a big chunk of it for themselves. Communism takes away everything from everybody and doles out small portions back out to them all.

2) Communism eventually produces Animal Farm situations, where the few elitists wind up ruling over the many. Socialism takes us back to the days of Kings and serfs. Guess how many of us wind up as serfs? Every communist nation winds up as a form of dictatorship eventually. Check out the nations that are ruled by tyranny and they are almost without exception ruled by a communist dictator or a Islamofascist regime.

3) As socialism begins to take ahold of government, the most successful people move away to more business-friendly environs. The more the US government taxes the very rich, the more of them simply change their nation of residence and avoid most taxes altogether. Back in the 1960's and 70's as Britain became more socialist and anti-rich the actors and rock stars moved themselves to Monaco or some other little country with low tax rates.

4) As socialism begins to take ahold of government, more businesses and banks become nationalized and more successful ones take large parts of their operations elsewhere. Anybody see anything like that happening under the Obama Administration? Yep. Anybody heard of "off-shoring?" Yep.

People can be greedy and selfish and sinful. People can have ambition and dreams and visions. People are capable of love and empathy and charity. People can rob and kill and plunder. Socialism brings out the worst qualities and stifles the best. Ayn Rand is required reading for any of you who do not connect the dots. Check out the history of Russia. China. North Korea. Venezuela. Cuba. You do not see people pouring into these places seeking a chance at a good life. You see lots of people held behind their own borders like prisoners. So it was in the Soviet Union. So it is still in places like Cuba. Look at all the Haitians who sought to flee their ravaged land by boat and come to the USA.

Hey Canucklehead? Why do Canadians with money flee that great socialist ideal, a national healthcare system and come to the US for surgery and treatment? Like Newfoundland's Danny Williams?

"ST. JOHN'S, N.L. -- Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams will undergo heart surgery later this week in the United States." February 2nd, 2010.

How about this excerpt from CBN?

Healthcare Reform: Cure Worse than the Disease?

"...the President and the Democrats are offering a government solution to drive down healthcare costs and make sure everyone has coverage. The Obama plan would create a government-run health insurer to compete with private insurers and would require everyone to have health insurance. But its cost could exceed $1.5 trillion.

The plan would also move America in the opposite direction of many nations who have had government run healthcare and who now want to fix their healthcare systems with less government and more private sector competition.

Britain has had government-run healthcare for about 60 years. And you can find excellent care. But you could also lose a limb or lose a life waiting for care.

In Britain as elsewhere, universal healthcare does not mean universal access to healthcare. Some 750,000 Britons are on National Health Service waiting lists. Roughly 40 percent of British cancer patients never get to see a cancer specialist. And the very best cancer drugs may not be available if they're too expensive.

You may have seen commercials warning about the consequences of adopting British-style government-run healthcare. The spots by the group Conservatives For Patients Rights say, "Before Congress rushes to healthcare, listen to those who already have government-run healthcare. In Britain, Katie Brickell, denied the pap test that could have saved her from cervical cancer..."

We located Katie in London and wanted to check out her story. She told us she was indeed denied a pap smear by the National Health Service when she was 19 and again when she was 20. At 23, she was diagnosed with incurable cervical cancer.

"The doctor's first question was, 'why haven't you had a smear test'? And I said 'I wasn't allowed one.'"

Also featured in the CPR ads warning American patients about government-run healthcare is British cancer specialist Karol Sikora of Cancer Partners UK.

"They'll lose their choice completely; lose control of their destiny within the medical system," he said.

Dr. Sikora told us he's taken a lot of heat for publicly criticizing Britain's NHS in the American ads, but he still insists that a system like Britain's is not the answer to America's healthcare problems.

"The NHS is great in many ways. But there's a lot in it the Americans would never put up with: waiting times, delays, rationing," he said.

"What the NHS essentially does now is ration care. Ration drugs, for cancer, my specialty, ration procedures, create waiting times and so on. These are the features Americans really wouldn't like about the NHS," he added."

Socialism doesn't work. It turns capitalist democracies into second-world countries struggling in a global economy. It becomes communism and produces tyrannical dictatorships. It never does what is intended theoretically. Sure, Robin Hood is a fun story and the Musketeers could cry, "All for one and one for all!" In the real world the most successful system is some kind of democracy with a free enterprise system as underpinning. This is what America was and what we are beginning to lose to Obama and his fellow elitists.

1878 Communism Cartoon by Thomas Nast. Wood engraved cartoon by the famous political cartoonist Thomas Nast, published in an 1878 issue of Harper's Weekly. It shows communism portrayed as a skeleton and destroyer of home and family. The caption reads, "Home Sweet Home! There's No Place Like Home!"

The joke is on those who believe in communism or socialism because all successful nation-states act as capitalists in the world market. Red China pumps out billions of toys and games and clothing and the state makes a killing while the people are mostly a nation of serfs. You don't see Red China offering to share her wealth with Japan and Russia and others, do you? Not unless you count high-interest loans. But that is a sad story for another day. The USA may face two choices: war with China or national bankruptcy. Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress is riding that horse hellbent-for-leather in that direction right now.

So all you trolls who had to go look up Dystopian? Don't tell me I don't know anything about socialism or communism. How about instead you go learn something about it. Go read Orwell and Rand and then go read Marx and Skinner and you tell me which side knows what is what? Maybe you should go find out who Saul Alinsky and Frank Marshall Davis might have believed and taught? Oh yeah, and while you are at it check out the serial killer who posed as a man of the people, the murderous and hateful Che Guevera! Read up on a couple of guys named Hitler and Goebbels, and then Josef Stalin and finally the worst of them all, Chairman Mao! Socialists and communists slaughtered more than 100 million civilians in the 20th century, not counting many civilians who died during actual fighting in World War Two. How dare you defend socialism and communism if you actually know nothing about them? Why not start a Jeff Dahmer admiration society while you are at it or buy a John Gacy painting on eBay? Maybe form an neighborhood Eugenics club and invest money in the abortion industry while you are at it.

Then maybe you can show the readers of this blog ONE successful communist country. Just one. I don't mean that the leaders are well off, I mean a country where the people are well off!

Maybe then you can explain why foreign leaders with government-run healthcare systems come over here to be treated? Is there a possibility that the US health care industry is actually the best in the world and even if flawed is far better than anything this ridiculous government could run? If it takes 2,000 pages to produce a bill that references other bills thousands of times just to describe the system then what makes you think there will not be multiple thousands of various bureaucrats making a living off of paper shuffling at your expense while you wait for a chance to maybe get a life-saving operation?

Radar, when are you gonna bring in that friend of yours who could prove Hartnett's math was sound?

radar said...

Another troll? That has nothing at all to do with this post first of all. Secondly my math friend already said that the math was sound and that Hartnett just used made a notational error that does not change the math. On top of that Hartnett and others in that field are playing propositional games with numbers that include lots of assumptions and few sound values so no one can get up and throw an equation on the board that "proves" anything at this time.

So get back on point. You can understand this particular post, yes? Or are you unable to take on what the Obama Administration is doing to the country?

Anonymous said...

So you are gonna use the fact that my question is not 'on topic' as an excuse to -again- run away?

So tell me, Radar? When are you gonna produce your 'evidence'?

radar said...

Anonymous, whoever you are, how dense can you be? We are talking about socialism and communism creeping into government and you bring up a long-dead stupid argument about how Hartnett used notation in an equation to prop up a hypothetical argument that I presented as an aside during another post that is completely over and done with? A topic we are not now discussing? Which number is that on the Alinsky Rule list again? You cannot make it a math question, it is a notational issue and it is not relevant.

Anonymous said...

"You cannot make it a math question, it is a notational issue and it is not relevant."

Yes I can; I just did. That what you get, Radar, when you keep running away.
In case you don't get it (but I don't believe for a minute you don't understand what I'm getting at): I don't care about what you say your friend says: I want him to come over here and prove what he says.

In other words: it's put up or shut up time, Radar.
And why don't you put up? After all, you were caught with your pants down at the 'Harnett debacle'; now's your chance to prove you're right. Yet you don't and use every excuse in the book to not have your 'friend' post here. What's to fear.

I call your bluff, Radar. I say you can't produce any proof that Hartnett's math was sound.

Oh and make no mistake: until you have your friend post his evidence, I'll keep remembering you. Whatcha gonna do about it?

Ha ha.

radar said...

Evidence of what? Do you even know what you are talking about?

What to do? Laugh at you. Poke fun. Bury you in ice cores, underneath the Laws of Thermodynamics and a few thousand references to dinosaurs in European history and several thousand acambaro figurines and then see if you can still come up for air. If you can then I can ignore you. Would you consider that an answer? Because you really have no clue how to dialogue, do you? You cannot answer the socialism charges because you know they are true.

Really, some of you lefties are so gullible. You think Tim Tebow's mother is going to do this long spiel about not aborting him so all these abortion-mongers make a big issue of it and it gets lots of press and then they do this innocuous little ad. The Pro-Death squad did all the work. Lots of coverage of Tim's mom and how she refused to abort him long before the Super Bowl even happened.

Then Sarah Palin writes something on her hand and waits for the Odumber people to make fun of her...which they do. Obama says "corpseman' like three times but the lefties make fun of Palin, thus playing into her hands. Now the average American relates to a woman who makes a note on her hand more than some buffoon who can't even get it right with double teleprompters. It is fun to watch the left trip over themselves.

So keep trolling and keep trying to go off topic, you are lampooning yourself, Mr. Anonymous and driving more traffic to my blog. Most folks probably wonder to what lengths you will go to keep avoiding the posted material. Obama is a socialist, live with it.

"People are unhappy with me for exposing and fighting against socialism and communism. But you guys miss the point. Most of all, I am against statism/federalism rather than all else."

Well then how about you don't mislabel it communism, since that just makes you sound uninformed? Surely you can argue your corner better than that...

"This President cannot get speeches right with two teleprompters at once and the press secretary makes fun of Sarah Palin for writing something on her hand?"

1. Make up your mind: is Obama only good at giving speeches, or does he suck at giving speeches? Of course he's good at giving speeches, with and without teleprompters, and the fact that he's good at this is a good thing. He's your president, Radar. Not just that, he's your president during wartime. Does that mean anything to you?

2. This teleprompter talking point is moronic. Obama uses them for convenience (and why shouldn't he?), but is pretty good without them too.

3. And finally, given that Palin is the darling of people who dig that stupid Obama teleprompter talking point, it is pretty darn funny and embarrassing that she showed up with a "wingnut teleprompter": a few words scrawled on her hand. As if she couldn't remember a list of three things.

Aha, a real person. So what have I got wrong about communism, creeper? I think I nailed it on the head - the state owns everything and passes out little chunks of it all around but the party rulers live large. George Orwell - Animal Farm - Some animals are more equal than others. Right? Capiche?

Obama is not all that good at giving speeches, he is actually getting so repetitive and so much of what he says is meaningless. I mean seriously, Massachusetts meant that the people were unhappy with the "pace of change" and anyone takes him seriously? Once you get past the politicalspeak Barack Obama has a booming voice and plays to the lefties but as Billy would say he is "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Ronald Reagan made speeches that are worth repeating today. BO is a propagandist at best, throwing out bunches of meaningless phrases.

radar said...

creeper, you still don't get the Palin thing, do you? Think. She had written notes in front of her that she looked down at from time to time. Why did she need three things written on her hand? Simple things at that? She played Obama's Administration as the press secretary got sucked right in and made fun of her.

So what happens is that Obama by proxy makes fun of someone that the average American sees as one of them. Therefore Obama is making fun of them. So Obama gets played.

Think on it for awhile, it will come to you.

Chris, on no planet is Creeper a troll. Socialist maybe, but certainly not a troll.

Oh radar, 'Notational error'? You've got to be joking. An integral sign is so much different than a multiplication sign --you can't make mistake and accidentally confuse them.

creeper said...

Re. Palin's "clever" tactic: she's such a frickin' genius that she's lost support across the board and a full 71% now think she's unsuitable for the presidency (including a majority of Republicans). Maybe the ingenious plan you mentioned did indeed flit through her mind, but if that's the case, her strategic brilliance (juvenile as it may be) isn't really delivering the goods.

As a one-line synopsis of Animal Farm that's fine as far as it goes, but what I meant by you mislabeling it communism is applying the label to what is going on in the US today - or even what Obama is trying to do. If you put aside your blind hatred and partisan blinders (I know, too much to ask) and look at his actual policies, he's actually pretty centrist.

To put it another way: what actual policy (or proposed policy) do you think is communist?

(My word verification just now was "apalin". No, really.)

Speaking of ice cores and the laws of thermodynamics, you ran away from a few discussions there, some time ago. So now that you've brought it up, I guess it's on-topic here.

1. Since you embarrassed yourself by not being able to present the ice cores study that you promised, you still haven't been able to back up your claim that multiple ice core layers are deposited every year.

And a belief in a young Earth actually requires not just multiple ice core layers every year, but one every few days. Which obviously isn't happening. Ergo...

I suspect you'll try to claim that you did provide such a study, but that would be a lie. We've been over that already.

2. And of course evolution doesn't violate the 2nd LOT:

a. Does reproduction violate the 2nd LOT? I hope not, because that's how we all got to be here.

b. Does heredity with variations violate the 2nd LOT? Again, we see this going on around us all the time, so obviously it doesn't either.

c. Does selection (natural or sexual) violate the 2nd LOT? One variation having a better chance of surviving or finding a mate - a violation of the 2nd LOT? Hardly.

Why did Farrah Fawcett go to Germany to seek treatment for her cancer? Sometimes there are good specialists in different countries, that's all.

As for the healthcare system as it stands, you're still a medical bankruptcy waiting to happen, and for some reason you think that's both fiscally responsible and morally defensible, even though it is neither.

Radar. Greetings old friend. It's been just a little over four years since I was on your blog. I had no idea you were still fighting the good fight. Bravo! Your writing is as good as ever and the arguments of the trolls are as weak as ever.

I enjoyed this entry as it nicely covers the desire of the left to tell us what to do because they know so much more than we poor unintelligent conservatives. As for deciding how to label the current administration, it's hard as they want so much to set up Obama as king of the world for ever that they seem to cycle through communism, statism, facism and socialism as they try different spin after different spin to try and convince people that they are really just mis-understood centerists.

It's all fair and well to do a big rant about COMMUNISM and SOCIALISM and ANIMAL FARM, but what you're still lacking is any kind of connection between those things and the healthcare reform that's actually up for discussion. You mentioned a few posts back that you wished we would talk about "concepts" and "issues" - so why are you avoiding them like the plague?

What is it about the current healthcare reform proposals that you think is socialist or even communist?

I'll file this under "Questions Radar Can't Answer". A lengthy list.

First, creeper loves to make claims that are unsupported and that may be because I understand communism much better than he - one must know the enemy.

National Healthcare has been a common component of socialist government as creeper well knows if he has even a clue about world history. The Soviet Union claimed to have it, Hitler's National Socialist Party promised it, England and Sweden and Canada and many other countries who have tried to implement this have found it to be lacking.

As to ice cores I posted on the subject thoroughly and creeper knows it, I made more than one post on the laws of thermodynamics and creeper knows it.

Let's say you buy something at a store and the clerk asks for a dollar and you pay him and then he says, hey, you didn't pay? You show him the receipt. My archives are my receipt, I have posted many times on ice cores, on thermodynamics and answered the Hartnett question as well, although I myself do not do or like the kind of math physicists think is a fun toy. Readers can find these posts and show creeper to be a liar. I have the receipt.

Radar,

It's really sad to see how you make yourself look so foolishly and don't even seem to realise and/or care.

Really, do you have no sense of pride whatsoever?

I sincerely advise you to take a break from blogging and to think things over for a month or so. I mean it man, it's really sad the way you behave...

creeper said...

First, and very, very obviously, the question -

What is it about the current healthcare reform proposals that you think is socialist or even communist?

- of course remains unanswered.

I predicted that Radar would not be able to answer this question, and he has clearly demonstrated that with his response. He'll beat his chest like King Kong about how well he understands communism etc. but at the same time you can look forward to watching him continue to evade an answer to this question.

"National Healthcare has been a common component of socialist government as creeper well knows if he has even a clue about world history. "

It is also a common component of free market democracies, as you may or may not be aware.

Having a national healthcare system or even making some common sense improvements to the current US system is not a one-way street to socialism or communism, as Radar (or whatever blogs he happens to be reading this week) would have people believe.

"As to ice cores I posted on the subject thoroughly and creeper knows it, I made more than one post on the laws of thermodynamics and creeper knows it. "

I predicted that you would try to evade this, and here you are, right on schedule.

You have posted on these subjects, of course, but your response is simply an example of shifting the goalposts yet again. Did you answer these questions?

1. Did you back up your claim that multiple ice core layers are deposited every year?

2.

Hardly.

Of course you didn't answer these questions.

"creeper loves to make claims that are unsupported"

Long-time readers of this blog will be well aware that I am pretty damn fastidious about supporting claims with facts and links, unlike your good self.

But since you seem so confident in making this assertion, please present a link to a claim I made that I could not support.

I'll add this one to "Questions Radar Can't Answer" in the meantime.

Oh boy... how many times did I ask for a "receipt" on this blog? Does "Link?" ring a bell? Do you recall the number of occasions on which you could not then present said "receipt" and ran for the hills, all the while claiming that you had provided the "receipt"?

Yes, your archives are your receipt, and thank you for acknowledging that. But your archives have failed to support your claims on multiple occasions.

One of these was the "study of ice core layers" issue, though there are many others. At one point you even went so far as to say you couldn't search your own website and would get somebody else to do it for you. Which then of course you never got around to. It's actually not too hard to use google to search your website and to quickly find out whether you or I or anybody else had said something or provided a link to something.

On the subject of ice cores, you have consistently failed to provide that alleged study that showed that many, even hundres of ice core layers can be deposited in a single year. It just isn't there. There was one article on planes buried under snow in Greenland, but there were no layers of any kind involved at all, so all that showed was that snow can accumulate rapidly - hardly a surprise to anyone, and entirely unrelated to the subject at hand - and some study that didn't come close to demonstrating what you were trying to claim.

So your claim was a complete dud, but somehow you can't man up and concede the damn argument.

As for the second questions: if you ever answered those questions about the 2nd LOT that I posted in the comment above, let's have the "receipt" - i.e. the link.

Or just answer the question.

There's always that.

Predictably, too much to ask.

And just for good measure, I'll repeat the question:

What is it about the current healthcare reform proposals that you think is socialist or even communist?

Creeper: Which health form proposal do you want comments on? The Senate version, the house version, the version that President Obama hasn't actually introduced yet?

And, as a British Citizen (albeit now with American Citizenship as well) who lived under the gentle care of the British National Health Service for 27 years, I can assure you that the American health system is better. It's not perfect, but it doesn't need many tweaks to improve it. The NHS is running out of money and yet somehow manages to be the third largest employer in the world (behind only the Chinese Army and the Indian National Railroads) with over 50% of the employees being administrative.

creeper said...

"Which health form proposal do you want comments on? The Senate version, the house version, the version that President Obama hasn't actually introduced yet?"

Any of them (though I don't know what the third one is supposed to be). Radar is flailing not against any aspects of current healthcare reform, but against some fantasy healthcare plan that for some reason has something to do with Animal Farm.

-- creeper

radar said...

No fantasy. Normal people who can think understand the point. Socialist health care plans fail. Britain is admitting this now. Health Care in the Soviet Union was terrible. Just imagine what it is in Red China! Canada has many problems.

I cannot be more specific because they keep changing the document but the last one I saw was over two thousand pages with references to many other bills and agencies. When a bill is longer than War and Peace and Marjorie Morningstar put together and no one can understand it well enough to answer specific questions it is an attempt to hide something even more reprehensible. "My" rep could not explain it and does not understand it yet he wants to vote for it?

"No fantasy.

"My" rep could not explain it and does not understand it yet he wants to vote for it?"

Okay, so you can't be bothered to even learn about the broad strokes of it, and instead you just instantly leap to screaming "SOCIALISM!!".

I guess your comments make a lot more sense now - you don't even know what the proposals are.

Creeper, you are spinning my comment. YOU do not know what is in the bill. My Congressman could not explain it. I seem to know more than he does about it (from our town hall experience). The bill is an attempt to confuse and defraud us. It is quite obvious that you do not know anything about the bill other than if the Democrats want it so do you.

How do you think I'm spinning your comment? You go on for screens on end about how Obamacare is socialism or communism and how awful this is and did we all read Animal Farm, without once connecting your claims to anything that is actually in the healthcare reform proposals. So for me to point out that you haven't shown this connection isn't spin of any kind, it's simply pointing out a fact that is there for all of us to see, and to ask you to explain what connection you see.

Funny thing is, you keep evading answering that question, so I guess this is just another thing you're making up out of whole cloth, more stuff from the fantasy factory. This from the guy who so recently said he wanted to talk about issues and concepts... then why don't you?

You can easily prove me wrong by explaining what you think the connection is. And don't give me this stuff about how nobody knows what's in the bill. If you don't know, then don't waste your breath ranting on and on about how it's socialism - because you don't know, do you?

And if you really don't know, how about applying some of your google fu?

BTW, what's with this insistence on trying to read other people's minds? You make up some motivations for other people so that you can dismiss them, is that it? Interestingly, do you know what that is called?

It's an ad hominem. The real thing.

Canada has better health care outcomes than the US and we don't have any medical bankruptcies. How is the US system better again?

I'll be brief.

I highly recommend you, for your own sake, remove the examples of Hitler and Goebbels in your speaking of how people don't read up on communism.

Hitler and Goebbels were extremely anti-communist - the Nazi party largely rose to power on that very platform. Feel free to look this up in any encyclopedia or history book.

That is all.

I removed a spammer.

NAZI's were socialists, not communists. They wanted a strong central tyrannical government and that is what they had. Go look up what NAZI stood for in German. National Socialist Party is the loose translation.
