Radar inhabits the midwest with his family far from the Blue States both geographically and ideologically. He is an ex-liberal gone conservative, an ex-druggie gone straight, an ex-humanist become Christian and a sports nut who remains a sports nut. Radar works in the IT field and sells internet security software and hardware in order to feed the family. Radar is....okay, he is me. I gotta stop posting in the third person like I was a self-absorbed celebrity!
The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity. Francis Maitland Balfour

Islam is a religion of peace, just because some extremist idiots want to ruin it for everyone doesn't change that fact. Christianity launched bloody inquisitions and sent countless troops to the holy land on Crusades. Would you call those things characteristic of Christianity? I sure as hell hope not.
Islam as taught and practiced in the Middle East is as peaceful as a bathtub full of wet cats. They want to kill and maim because of a few cartoons. Meanwhile, Islamic publications run cartoons that are even worse concerning primarily Jews and sometimes America or Europe and you don't see us pouring out on the streets burning flags and embassies and threatening people with swords.
Pieces...as in "blown to".

I would suggest you go back and review precisely why the Crusades got started; oh, never mind, believe what you've been spoon-fed.
Hey radar, Great link... followed it to a lot of other great links as well. Thanks...
oriolebird38,
Islam was NEVER a religion of peace. It's founder was a robber, a raider, and a murderer. His writings in the Koran condone murder. He tells his followers to 'ambush the idolators'. He talks about destroying town after town, and suggests that there is not a city in the world that will not be destroyed or "chastized" by Islam.
So much for peace, eh?
