Microbes 1, Radar 0

A viral infection has had its way with me. I hoped to fight it off and be back at work and also blogging on Friday. Here it is Monday and even armed with medication I can't even be up for more than a couple of hours before having to go back to bed. I probably should have gone to the hospital, but I am a stubborn sort and the doctor is a friend of mine who has allowed me to rest at home, since my wife is here 24 x 7.

I am sorry to be so behind on comments. I hope to be up to reading them all tonight and be back in the blogging game tomorrow.

Hey, Oriole? It's Lima Time!

Matt? Some of your microbe friends think I am the western world and they are islamofascists.

Back to bed...

Hey, viruses aren't my friends...

I don't trust anything that doesn't really fit the definition of "living".

Hope you're feeling better soon.

rest up, feel better. And if it gets worse, remember, doctors are your friends . . .

radar,

You can take confort in the 'fact' that, due to 'the fall', your illness should be less severe next time you contract it. Remember that everything is in decline; like that banana you had at breakfast -it's also genetically worse off than a banana you would have enjoyed in 2005.

Get well soon (well at least in time for the Rapture).

Dude, Lima Time won't be Lima Time until he has dark hair again. seriously, what IS he doing with that frosted lettuce on the mound?! getting torched by hitters, that's what.

Message to Jose: Please, stop giving women herpes, and stop dying your hair. You need to stick to the things at which you excel: Having a great and out of nowhere season every third year, and singing the Nat'l Anthem at Dodger Stadium.

Oh, man! Hope you're feeling/doing better by now, Radar. I'm glad you have your wife home to nurse you back to health.

"like that banana you had at breakfast -it's also genetically worse off than a banana you would have enjoyed in 2005."

That's totally out of my area of expertise, but that sounds like utter BS to me.

Hope you're feeling better by now - sorry I haven't been round to offer my good wishes earlier.

amy & creeper,

Please don't be calling radar's beliefs BS. They're his personal beliefs and remain uncontested unless he wishes to present them as scientific.

Actually, that's the problem - it isn't. (different, I mean). Bananas are for the most part clones, like apples and potatoes, and as such run the risk of a Banana Blight wiping out the main export variety or even a good chunk of bananadom. And unlike apples or potatoes, bananas have very low fertility. . .
