Evolutionary Falsehoods Dying Hard with a Vengeance

A few years ago, I had posted material on the fraudulent embryonic drawings by Ernst Haeckel that are still used in textbooks. Someone commented that although the drawings were fake, the principle was true! Ja, ze end justifies ze means, mein Herr! But the drawings and the concept were long disproven. Other fake evolutionary science dies hard.

Something that is filed under "We Told You So" is the idea of vestigial organs (or vestigial structures). This is part of the "mountain of evidence" for evolution (probably at the Puente Hills Landfill in Los Angeles, California). It is often married up with the dysteleological idea that since some organs are constructed in ways that displease misotheists, there must be no God.

We've seen several examples of how evolutionary thinking is bad for medical science, and the vestigial thing is offensive to thinking people. If you study on it, creationists take the view that if something exists, our Creator must have put it there for a reason. Doctors were making lotsa grotzits yanking things out because they believed evolutionists. This did a great deal of harm.

Another falsehood that is gleefully spread by Darwin's Flying Monkeys™ is the idea that humans and chimpanzees are ninety-something percent similar in their genomes (the number varies depending on who is doing the talking). Come on, man. It's malarkey. In fact, they've known it for years. Although creation scientists have disproven it through research and by explaining that it involved very poor science — plus a heapin' helpin' of preconceptions. Newer research came along and also said that the chimp DNA thing is monkey business.

Seems to me that if evolution were true and could be supported, scientists, educators, the secular science industry press, and others would be willing to let the evidence stand on its own. Instead, they  help it along with lying by omission, turning a blind eye to major problems, propagating falsehoods, and more. That ain't science, old son. Fortunately for the truth, biblical creationists are trying to keep these sidewinders honest.
