Sadly this country is turning upside down and backwards.   Good is considered weird and bad is celebrated.  We go "yippee" when somebody tells us they are a homosexual and "ho-hum" when millions of babies are murdered each year.   Benghazi happens and news media ignore it.  I want to remind you that no one was even injured in the Watergate break-in and Nixon did not know about it until afterwards.  The Obama Administration planned Benghazi and Fast and Furious and the dozens of dead?  The Lamestream news media do not care.  But some seven-year-old makes a video with a toy gun?  Suspended from school!!!   Where did America go?

First, a warning. People lose their Facebook accounts. This has been going on for a few years now, and Facebook is both arbitrary and confusing. Even the “too bad so sad” e-mails that they send are virtually identical [1, 2, 3 (link missing)]. People wonder what happened, and proclaim innocence in wrongdoing.

I am taking the advice that has been given, and spreading it around: Back up your account data so you don't lose your pictures, information, and things that matter.

Now, on to the business at hand.

When you get a job, are a member of a community, join a club or something similar, you are expected to follow the rules. If you do not like or intend to follow the rules, it is silly for you to join. But what if the “management” does not abide by the rules or keep their end of the contract? People expect Facebook to be friendly, and to keep their part of the agreement by removing items people report that violate their standards. I have reported things that were downright obscene, as well as threatening, contained hate speech — and they were not removed. It usually looks like this:

It continues ad nauseum.

Similarly, Facebook is guilty of blatant discrimination against Christians and Conservatives [4, 5, 6 (link missing), 7]. I know of people who have multiple accounts, some simultaneous, because they have been slapped down by Facebook for expressing their beliefs. Meanwhile, Facebook allows material, even Pages, with material that is shameful to even name because of profanity and blasphemy. Listen, if you don’t respect the rights and sensibilities of others, you don’t need to make it available for children to see! So, Facebook does not keep their end of the bargain by censoring speech that they pretended that they allowed, and by not censoring hate speech and obscenity.

How did we get here?

Several reasons come to mind, but I am going to emphasize  something that I believe many people will not consider: Thinking with emotions. It’s an oxymoron. I was taught long ago that emotions are not logical, but they can respond to logic. Unfortunately, the reverse is true to some extent, that logic can be beaten into submission by emotions.

People are unskilled at thinking critically. Schools allegedly teach such skills, but when encountering leftists, “new atheists”, evolutionists and so on, we see that the opposite is true. Arguments used to prove their points are fraught with logical fallacies and attempts to manipulate emotions (which can be seen with a cursory glance at the comments here on “Radaractive”). Some people will go completely around logic, making assertions and prejudicial conjecture, and then ridiculing creationists, Christians and Conservatives.

Why the irrational emotionalism?

I am convinced that these people know that they cannot defeat their opponents with reason, so they prefer to silence the opposition altogether [8, 9, 10, 11, 12 (I removed this link), 13]. With remarkable chutzpah and hypocrisy, atheists and evolutionists pretend that they are the victims of discrimination, when in fact, they are the ones doing the discrimination.

In the more interpersonal areas, leftists, atheists and evolutionists will try a less direct route to silence their opposition by using emotional manipulation. From a rational point of view, I can see no reason to simply resort to ridicule [14]. But when it comes to dirty tricks to “win” (or at least score cheap points), things make more sense. In an effort to “poison the well” and negate a person, they attack him or her and try to get others on their side. (As I like to point out, they act like angry schoolchildren who were caught smoking behind the gym by the headmaster and punished. Now they want everyone to hate the headmaster, even though they were in the wrong.) For people who can actually think for themselves, these tactics are not only obvious, but laughable.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of people around who do not bother to think. They offer uninformed opinions on material that they have not read, go on search-and-destroy missions around the Web to try to bring down the objects of their irrational hate (sometimes with hilarious results [15 (link missing)]), and have forums where they libel others and play to their base.

The rest of us have to hold a higher standard. We back up our claims and try to avoid falling for the manipulations. They cannot defeat the truth.
